14 And it came to pass that I beheld many multitudes of the Gentiles upon the land of promise; and I beheld the wrath of God, that it was upon the seed of my brethren; and they were scattered before the Gentiles and were smitten.

It's incredible to watch Nephi see the future (at the same time) as the past..."I beheld that they were white and exceedingly beautiful, like unto my people my people before they were slain." (v 15)

I also find it incredible to read about Nephi's future as (which is) my past history. He even sees my ancestors, or my past, in his future.

Did he see me?

I wonder about the words, "...the Spirit of God, that it came down and wrought upon..." Wrought upon? Does that mean the same as when Nephi said he was "constrained by the Spirit?"

What about me? Can I tell when I am being 'wrought upon' by the Spirit? I want desperately to recognize promptings (or 'constrainings' or being 'wrought upon') for what they are and not doubt, confuse, or justify those impressions!

I will pray for that recognition today, and to understand "wrought upon" better.
