33 Wherefore saith the Lamb of God: I will be merciful unto the Gentiles, unto the visiting of the remnant of the house of Israel in great judgment.

What does this mean... "I will be merciful unto the Gentiles, unto the visiting of the remnant of the house of Israel in great judgment."?

I think of justice and mercy, and how they not only work together to save us, but as complimentary actions that can support one another and fulfill the laws and love of God.

But the wording in this verse, I just don't really understand. I don't understand how mercy and judgment fit together here.

I know from experience that if I really want to know something, and ponder it deeply and ask in faith, God will teach me.

Grateful for daily 'ponderables'.
