6 And it came to pass that on the morrow, after we had prepared all things, much fruits and meat from the wilderness, and honey in abundance, and provisions according to that which the Lord had commanded us, we did go down into the ship, with all our loading and our seeds, and whatsoever thing we had brought with us, every one according to his age; wherefore, we did all go down into the ship, with our wives and our children.
I could wonder about verse 6 for days!!
"On the marrow"= the day after what? It ust have been the day after the Lord spoke to Lehi, right? Were they already preparing/packing? How did they know how much food to bring when they didn’t know how long they'd be gone? What did they do for water? Why of all the food choices, was it honey that they brought an abundance of?
Why do I keep thinking of the similarities between this voyage and the Jaredites as well as Noah? (All in God-made boats, (with honey!)
How long were they out? How did they care for the fruit and meat? And I'm just really curious about the God-made boat!! I wish I could take a historical virtual tour.
Maybe someday. :)

Personal study question for the day: Ponder and ask yourself, "What do I wonder?"

Honey makes total sense. It can be used for so many things. From medicine to flavor and it lasts forever. Plus it reminds me of a lesson in food storage. We were told to make sure and store candy and treats as well as the essentials so we had a treat because if we had to live off our storage it would start getting hard after a while, especially for children.
