23 And I did read many things unto them which were written in the books of Moses; but that I might more fully persuade them to believe in the Lord their Redeemer I did read unto them that which was written by the prophet Isaiah; for I did liken all scriptures unto us, that it might be for our profit and learning.

Of all the amazing, beautiful and wonderful stories about God dealing with His children in the first 5 books of the Bible, including Adam and Eve, Enoch, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph and Moses- of all those incredibly inspirational scriptures, Nephi said that to "more fully persuade them to believe in the Lord their Redeemer, I did read unto them that which was written by the prophet Isaiah."

That is very telling!

I will approach Isaiah now with a new understanding. I'll let his testimony of the soon-to-be born Savior strengthen my own testimony of the King who has already come once, and who's Second Arrival we are waiting and watching earnestly for!
