1 Nephi 2:19

And it came to pass that the Lord spake unto me, saying: Blessed art thou, Nephi, because of thy faith, for thou hast sought me diligently, with lowliness of heart.

Nephi was blessed with a believing heart, and a promise from God - to be led to a promised land (a bakery (see previous post)). The Lord said these blessings came because of his faith, seeking God diligently and with lowliness of heart.


These are all examples of how I can improve my prayers. My desire to know God has already increased just from praying for that this morning.


I'll try to remember the 3 "prayer improvers" above as I pray.


I know as I come to know God better, I will know how to be better.

For me this scripture has a familiar feel to it and reminds me of counsel given me in my patriarchal blessing. 😍
