16 Wherefore, let us be faithful in keeping the commandments of the Lord; therefore let us go down to the land of our father’s inheritance, for behold he left gold and silver, and all manner of riches. And all this he hath done because of the commandments of the Lord.

Nephi keeps referring to "the commandments of the Lord." (verses 1, 7, 15, 16, 18, and 21) Apparently there is no reason we should not keep the commandments of God, even if we feel it will cost us our very lives.


The Jaredites were willing to build and sail in a boat with no air! That is a commitment to God!


I know that it will be possible to keep God's commandments, as long as it is in my control, simply because He asked me to.


I love God. He always sets us up for success.
