18 Therefore I did obey the voice of the Spirit, and took Laban by the hair of the head, and I smote off his head with his own sword.

"Therefore, I did obey."


That "therefore" came after muchdeep thought, but not much time. I'm so grateful that Nephi chose to record ALL the thoughts he received when he was given the commandment to kill Laban.


What does this mean for me? I will be open to receiveand keep commandments that I may not like or that feel extremely difficult. I will nurture willing and obedient thoughts. I will obey and keep God's commandments even if I don't fully understand or agree, because I know everything God does and asks us to do is out of love. I KNOW this.
