17 But it came to pass that I prayed unto the Lord, saying: O Lord, according to my faith which is in thee, wilt thou deliver me from the hands of my brethren; yea, even give me strength that I may burst these bands with which I am bound.

I like how Nephi politely asked God, after declaring his faith in Him, "wilt Thou deliver me?"

I like how he asked, not demanded.

It's like he trusted in God's will so much he was willing to submit no matter what God's will was.

"Wilt Thou deliver me?" It's almost like he could have said... "But if not...I will still believe..."

I will repeat and apply the words Nephi used today...."Lord, according to my faith, which is in Thee, wilt thou deliver ME?"

God alone knows how much I need deliverance from.

How I LOVE the scriptures!
