22 And there are also secret combinations, even as in times of old, according to the combinations of the devil, for he is the founder of all these things; yea, the founder of murder, and works of darkness; yea, and he leadeth them by the neck with a flaxen cord, until he bindeth them with his strong cords forever.

Why by the neck?


I'm not comfortable (understatement) when thinking of being led by the neck. Feels like the epitome of bondage and humiliation.


Good thing I have control of this. Or at least God does, and if I stay true to Him, he will keep my neck free of binding threads.


One thought I love - when we follow the adversary, we give him power. When we follow Christ, He gives us power.


I'm left speechless when I ponder that loving truth.
