2 Nephi 5:1-2

1 Behold, it came to pass that I, Nephi, did cry much unto the Lord my God, because of the anger of my brethren.
2 But behold, their anger did increase against me, insomuch that they did seek to take away my life.
I wonder about the timeline in verses 1 and 2.
It seems like the time between Nephi speaking to and teaching his brothers (with them in a seemingly good emotional and spiritual place) and their father speaking to them - and then Lehi's death was only a short time frame.
So how much time elapsed between then, and Laman and Lemuel's fierce anger toward Nephi? Days? Weeks? Months?
It seems like it's not that long between Lehi's death and Nephi's departure- or the beginning (birth) of the Nephites and Lamanites.
Was Sariah still alive? Ishmaels wife? If so, with whom did they stay, or go?
If I was a mom, I'd want (I think) Joseph and Jacob to go with Nephi and his wife, but I THINK I'd want to stay with Laman and Lemuel.
What a hard, awful, wrenching choice....To choose which sons to never see again.
