2 Nephi 5:34

34 And it sufficeth me to say that forty years had passed away, and we had already had wars and contentions with our brethren.

Nephi must have been close to 60 years old in verse 34 (50 years old in verse 27) when he wrote this record. (If I understand this right.)


That was 40 years after they left Jerusalem.


I wonder what Nephi was like as a 60-year-old?


What did he teach his kids and grandkids? (I don't have to think too hard about that one.)


What did he tell them about their cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents who they never met?


I think this verse is the last of his personal engravings.


I wish I had more from this great man. But feeling beyond blessed for the abundance that I do have.


(If/when we get more scripture, I'm taking a year off of work to devour it!)(And trying to make sure I "devour" what I do have, in the meantime!)
