2 Nephi 6:17

17 But thus saith the Lord: Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered; for the Mighty God shall deliver his covenant people. For thus saith the Lord: I will contend with them that contendeth with thee.

This verse always makes my heart happy when I read it! It's like my heart, or spirit, loves these words, and reminds me of that every time I read them.


I have a few favorite words in this verse!


"Shall", "deliver" and "covenant".


"Shall" is a 100% word. A promise.


"Deliver(ed)" is a word that I love discovering all through this wonderful book, probably because it is a word I desperately need and rely on.


And "covenant," is a word that I believe means a lot to God, so it should mean a lot to me too. I'm slowly learning that EVERYTHING - has to do with God's covenants.


I just realized that all 3 of those words are in one phrase...


"The Mighty God shall deliver his covenant people."


Yep. My heart is singing.
