20 Yea, they did persecute them, and afflict them with all manner of words, and this because of their humility; because they were not proud in their own eyes, and because they did impart the word of God, one with another, without money and without price.

What does being persecuted by words look like today? Bullying? Slander? Anger?


I'm imagining that those words must have come with some sort of action too. Like maybe turning their back on them, refusing to let children associate with them, withholding goods or services, etc...


It's hard to speak one way and act another, I feel they typically mirror each other.
