31 And there was one among them whose name was Zeezrom. Now he was the foremost to accuse Amulek and Alma, he being one of the most expert among them, having much business to do among the people.

Okay, so according to verse 30, and what Mormon (and Amulek) I think are implying, is that Zeezrom's heart was pretty hard and closed at this point. Which makes his upcoming conversion all the more beautiful and wonderful to watch unfold!
