25 And now thou hast lied before God unto me. Thou saidst unto me—Behold these six onties, which are of great worth, I will give unto thee—when thou hadst it in thy heart to retain them from me; and it was only thy desire that I should deny the true and living God, that thou mightest have cause to destroy me. And now behold, for this great evil thou shalt have thy reward.
I wish I knew Zeezrom's reaction to this! I desperately want to know where "THE TURN" was! If his heart is pricked now, he is continuing to fight it.
I love watching God's work in action and His great love for both Amulek and Zeezrom here! (I love how God is a perfect expert in overcoming the devices of the devil. SO if we are with Him we have no need to fear.)
Of course I don't know for sure, but I think this is where Zeezrom's heart starts to listen and he begins to feel that he is wrong, and Alma is right. But it might be such a new, and possibly invasive thought that there's still room to push it down and rely on his original motives.
What happens in the next few verses is one of my favorite parts of this whole book! I absolutely LOVE learning what God can do with broken people.
