16 Now these ordinances were given after this manner, that thereby the people might look forward on the Son of God, it being a type of his order, or it being his order, and this that they might look forward to him for a remission of their sins, that they might enter into the rest of the Lord.

This is the second time I've read "enter into the rest of the Lord" in the last 4 verses.

Such a nice thought to ponder! ("Nice" being the understatement of the century.)

I wonder why 'rest' is a blessing? Am I supposed to be enjoying a little taste of 'rest' now? Is it what I'm thinking? Like fully rest, of body, heart and mind? Or, is it something deeper?

And I love thinking about how they had to look "forward" to Christ as we look back.

But we all hope, trust and center our hopes in one person- Jesus Christ.

He is, will be, and always was - the only way.
