17 That they might not be hardened against the word, that they might not be unbelieving, and go on to destruction, but that they might receive the word with joy, and as a branch be grafted into the true vine, that they might enter into the rest of the Lord their God.

When I think of the phrase "rest of the Lord," I can't help but think of it this way... that I might receive "the rest" that God wants to bless me with. Especially spiritually, mentally and emotionally, even more than physically.

I've been blessed with so much, but I feel like God wants me to know there is so much more and that He wants to give me, 'the rest,' more than anything.

God wants to give me - the rest. Or, in other words, all that He has.

To me, "rest in the Lord" is heaven itself.
