18 Now Ammon being the chief among them, or rather he did administer unto them, and he departed from them, after having blessed them according to their several stations, having imparted the word of God unto them, or administered unto them before his departure; and thus they took their several journeys throughout the land.
Pondering their faith.
I'm working on developing my faith today.
I've been thinking that my days are a cycle of praying for something - which I'm anxious about, fearful of, or concerned over, and then seeing God answer those prayers - and then that communication building my faith.
But....
I want to have faith BEFORE the prayers are answered.
I want to feel the effects of faith before the blessing is obvious. I want to walk, like these valiant men did, in faith - not knowing beforehand the blessings that the Lord has in store.
I want to believe - before - I have evidence of it.
And I want even go a step beyond that. I want to feel the peace that that faith brings - to eliminate the anxiety, fear and concern.
I believe this can happen. In fact, I feel like thinking about and verbalizing what I believe in - often - is a good start to doing this.
So, today, I'll make a practice of articulating what I know and what I believe. I believe this will strengthen my faith - in the before - where it's most needed.
