23 Now we see that Ammon could not be slain, for the Lord had said unto Mosiah, his father: I will spare him, and it shall be unto him according to thy faith—therefore, Mosiah trusted him unto the Lord.

I love how Mormon inserts this paranthetical thought here, just in case we missed it from our own study. A little study help from Mormon.

(As are all the "thus we see's")

This I see - that miracles can happen independent of Christ's intervention, because of our faith in Him -> such as the woman with an issue of blood Bible who touched His hem, and was healed. He didn't touch her, talk to her, or even (seem to) notice her. In fact, Jesus Himself said, "Thy faith hath made thee whole."

I don't yet understand this and will ponder it today.

How is that possible?

How can Christ be so powerful that even our belief in Him can move mountains?

That is amazing. And worth pondering and applying.
