13 And thus they were prepared to meet the Amlicites at the time of their coming. And there were appointed captains, and higher captains, and chief captains, according to their numbers.

I love "and this they were prepared" to meet the coming enemy (aka "brethren".)

I wonder if they felt prepared? Like- did they feel confident?

What does preparation do for the Spirit? Don't the scriptures say, "If ye are prepared, ye shall not fear."? That seems pretty clear.

But I can't help but wonder if the 'shall not' is a command, or simply a consequential condition? Maybe it's both?

Wondering. Pondering. Feasting. Learning so much.
