16 Now when his father had heard these words, he was angry with him, and he drew his sword that he might smite him to the earth.

Uh. If I didn't know the rest of this story, I'd be tempted to have some pretty ill feelings and harsh judgments against this dad. But- he ends up being one of my favorite heroes in the Book of Mormon!

You know what I'm learning from this reading of the book? That it's full of true stories of really bad people- or people who behave REALLY badly. Like SUPER BAD. But! Who completely change because of the redemptive power of Jesus Christ.

I'm going to let my thoughts rest in that peaceful place today.

-Super naughty people -> turned saints -> because of Christ..

-Alma the Elder (priest of Noah. May not have been that bad?)

-Alma the Younger

-Ammon

-Amulek (says he was naughty, but don't know how bad.)

-Zeezrom

- Aaron

-Lamoni (Didn't mind murdering innocent shepherds.)

-Lamoni's dad (didn't mind murdering his own innocent son!)

All completely changed by Christ = The message of the Book of Mormon. t
