17 But Ammon stood forth and said unto him: Behold, thou shalt not slay thy son; nevertheless, it were better that he should fall than thee, for behold, he has repented of his sins; but if thou shouldst fall at this time, in thine anger, thy soul could not be saved.

BOLD!!


(No - You will NOT kill him. (However, if you did, you will be much worse of than him.))


This must have SHOCKED the king! But what he's about to say next is what's going to rock him to the core. What was it? KINDNESS!


His kindness and love was even MORE shocking and powerful than this display of courage.
