Alma 21:18

18 And it came to pass that Ammon and Lamoni returned from the land of Middoni to the land of Ishmael, which was the land of their inheritance.

I'm thinking Ammon and Lamoni have crossed over into the category of "close friends" now.

I'm pretty sure when you save someone's life, both spiritually and physically, that "friends" would be the least of the words that would describe their relationships.
