6 And now behold, I say unto you, my brethren, you that belong to this church, have you sufficiently retained in remembrance the captivity of your fathers? Yea, and have you sufficiently retained in remembrance his mercy and long-suffering towards them? And moreover, have ye sufficiently retained in remembrance that he has delivered their souls from hell?

Am I supposed to apply this to me? I mean, of course I am right?

Am I supposed to remember the captivity of my ancestors and their deliverance? Or the same Israelites fathers as they had? Or their literal Nephites fathers?

Just wondering.

I can absolutely remember several times the Lord has delivered my own captive soul from hell. I'll do that more today! (It would be my absolute pleasure to do so!!)

And as far as remembering the captivity of my fathers - I think the important thing is that I remember the Deliverer. I'm sure that's the point.

Deal.
