Alma 7:27

27 And now, may the peace of God rest upon you, and upon your houses and lands, and upon your flocks and herds, and all that you possess, your women and your children, according to your faith and good works, from this time forth and forever. And thus I have spoken. Amen.

The peace of God can be upon houses? Lands? Flocks? Herds? And our possessions?? What does that mean?

I don't know, but I love it whatever it means! That's a fun thought to ponder!

I love all the 'ands' in this verse. (That word always seems to accompany blessings.) Particularly the important one between faith 'and' good works. Wait. So my faith and good works is the predicate to all those blessings? The peace of God may rest upon my children according to my faith and good works? That's motivation!

Today I will strengthen my faith by relying on God's arm more than my own. And I'll try to be a better good work doer by consciously giving 'people' (not things) my full (not half) attention.
