1 And now it came to pass that Alma returned from the land of Gideon, after having taught the people of Gideon many things which cannot be written, having established the border of the church, according as he had before done in the land of Zarahemla, yea, he returned to his own house at Zarahemla to rest himself from the labors which he had performed.
For some reason I always love it when Mormon chooses to include something like "and then he went home" in his record.
That thought of imagining the walk home (usually mentioned after a spiritual experience) helps me ponder, or wonder, what that walk home must have been like.
What was he thinking? How was he feeling? What was the first thing he said to his wife when he walked in the door? What were his thoughts as he went to sleep that night?
Wondering about their personal lives, helps make this all personal to me.
