30 And Alma went forth, and also Amulek, among the people, to declare the words of God unto them; and they were filled with the Holy Ghost.

What was it like at breakfast that morning, before they "went forth"? Were they going to come back home later that day? Or was this going to be a journey?

It says they were filled with the Holy Ghost- what did they specifically do to qualify to be "filled"? I would imagine much prayer, and much faith had a lot to do with it.

I wonder if Alma gave Amulek a priesthood blessing before they left?

I also wonder if Amulek still had the support of his family at this point? Was it only when the people started attacking him and they suddenly became unpopular that the family began to doubt?

And I'm dying to know Amulek's thoughts this whole time! I hope he kept his own record that I'll hopefully be able to read one day.

Amulek is one of my heroes.

(Hymn that came to mind as I was pondering this event- "Go forth with faith to tell the world...")
