Jacob 1:5

5 For because of faith and great anxiety, it truly had been made manifest unto us concerning our people, what things should happen unto them.

Why did Nephi want the plates to be written on by Jacob and passed down his line, rather than Nephi's own son? (If he had one.)

Why were they never passed down through and written upon by daughters?

How different would our scriptures be if they were written on by Nephi's posterity, or Joseph's, or Zoram's?

How I wish I could also hear from them, and Sariah, Nephi's sisters and the other women who were in these stories.

I am not complaining or murmuring- just honest wondering. Ponderable (prayer worthy.)
