2 And I set guards round about the land, that the Lamanites might not come upon us again unawares and destroy us; and thus I did guard my people and my flocks, and keep them from falling into the hands of our enemies.

I wonder if they already had all those weapons used in cha pter nine, or if they "invented" them when they needed them? Because in these verses, it seems they got busy making more.

I also wonder when they began turning to God? I have a feeling their hearts were already turning and softened because God strengthened them so quickly.

What can I learn about the need to keep and maintain my spiritual weapons? What are they?

1. Trust in the Lord

2. Repent daily

3. Keep God's commandments

4. Study word of God daily

5. Pray always

6. Remember Christ always

7. Love others, serve and sacrifice for them, and especially for God.

What will I do to polish my spiritual sword today, to keep it bright and sharp today?

Today I'll focus especially on #6. I'll intentionally remember what Christ did for me and ask that His Atonement may take effect in my life.
