Mosiah 12:7

7 And they shall be smitten with a great pestilence—and all this will I do because of their iniquities and abominations.

When I 'follow through' when teaching my children about consequences (good or bad,) I am teaching them how to receive God's word. He always follows through. He also always provides a way for escape. If we will accept it and do our part (which helps us become better.)

I also love knowing that I'm the child, and God the parent, what is expected/required of me, the escape plan, and what His promises are.

So comforting.
