Mosiah 2:32

32 But, O my people, beware lest there shall arise contentions among you, and ye list to obey the evil spirit, which was spoken of by my father Mosiah.

The way King Benjamin puts it, it seems like contention is the opposite of keeping the commandments, or at least the beginning of breaking them.

So, I must watch my approaching-contentious thoughts. They are not 'loving God' or ' loving my fellow man.'
