19 And it came to pass that they began to prosper exceedingly in the land; and they called the land Helam.

Why did they begin to prosper in the land?


Usually (often) there is a "because" after that phrase. But the answer is in verse 15- they loved their neighbor as themselves so there was no contention among them.


SOO... contention is overpowered and extinguished by love.


That's good to know and can be applied in my home every day.


Oh! And it is also a result of nourishing each other with things pertaining to righteousness. (Yesterday's homework.)
