20 And now, as I said unto you, that after king Mosiah had done these things, he took the plates of brass, and all the things which he had kept, and conferred them upon Alma, who was the son of Alma; yea, all the records, and also the interpreters, and conferred them upon him, and commanded him that he should keep and preserve them, and also keep a record of the people, handing them down from one generation to another, even as they had been handed down from the time that Lehi left Jerusalem.
Why, again, am I feeling like this is new information and I'm learning this for the first time?! I have lots of notes in the book which tell me I knew this before, so why does it still seem so new?
I must have read the Book of Mormon at least 25 or 30 times by now and still I'm re-learning so many things!
Truly- this book is a lifetime study.
(I feel like Mosiah and Alma Sr. were good friends. I remember wondering last time I read this how different the rest of the book would be if Mosiah passed the plates down to Aaron or Ammon? And why he didn't?)
Have I mentioned I love this book?
