5 And when they had wandered forty days they came to a hill, which is north of the land of Shilom, and there they pitched their tents.

Why did they wander 40 days - like the Israelites wandered 40 years?


Why did God choose this group of 16 to have that symbolic experience?


Will go look up the meaning of 40.


Wow, just learned so much about the number 40 in the Bible! I had no idea it was in there so much! (146 times!) It generally symbolizes a period of testing, trial or probation.
